The Sweet Melody That Is You

One of my challenges is self-criticism.  I seem to judge the value of my gifts and talents more harshly than others.   Learning to appreciate my uniqueness has sparked my creative blossoming.

I recently had the pleasure of being introduced to the music of Bob Sima, a local musician.  Bob’s music is rich, life affirming and deeply spiritual.  The last song on his new album, Thin Little Veil, is titled “Everything Is Music.”  The chorus includes the following lyrics:

We’ve come to the place where everything is music
Everything is music,
Everything is music.

Well we’ve come to the place where everything is music.
Everything is music,
Let it play.

For me, sharing my God-given gifts and talents is the essence of my understanding that everything is music.   I honor that sweet melody within when I express myself fully.  Spirit reminds me to allow my gifts and talents to flow freely.  Everything is music.

I am finally able to hear and appreciate my own music.   I invite you to listen deeply and hear the sweet melody that is you.  Everything is music.  Let it play!

Thank you Bob for the gift of your music.  What a beautiful affirmation! To learn more about Bob Sima and his music, visit
